What happened at Spring I/O 2022 conference? Spring Boot 3 is coming
My review as a participant, Presentation videos, and more
Spring I/O 2022 was terrific for me, it came back as an in-person event after two years, and I attended this fantastic conference in Barcelona (26–27 May 2022). It was the 9th in-person edition of this conference, with more than 60 presentations, six workshops, and 1200 attendees. I met a lot of excellent Java and Spring developers, and the conference focused on the Spring Framework ecosystem as expected.

Open ceremony and Keynote
After a lovely opening ceremony and welcome speech, the most important speech was from Juergen Hoeller (Spring Framework co-founder and project lead) about Spring Framework 6 and Spring Boot 3. Juergen said Spring Framework 6 is a new generation of this framework for the next decade.
I think the most important announcement for Spring Framework 6 was to increase the framework baseline to JDK 17+ and support AOT (Ahead-Of-Time) processing feature to support GraalVM native executables and more.
