Why did I migrate from Hootsuite free plan to Buffer?

Drastic changes in the Hootsuite free plan

About 2 years ago, I wrote this post when I wanted to decide about choosing a free software application to manage some social networks accounts and compared Buffer and Hootsuite (their free plans).

At that time I chose Hootsuite free plan against buffer because of the number of scheduled posts (30 scheduled posts for all social accounts). Other features were almost equal.

‌But recently Hootsuite has decided to decrease the number of scheduled posts to 5 scheduled posts for all social accounts and also they retired their browser extension (Hootlet and Hootfeed).

These drastic changes from the Hootsuite team were unbearable for me and I decided to migrate all those social networks accounts to Buffer.

Buffer has everything we need, from the browser extension to a mobile app, and also it supports 10 scheduled posts for each social accounts in its free plan which is enough for us now.
